Australia's Tomago Aluminium smelter will receive USD 2.5 billion in government funding to secure its long-term operations. Under the agreement, Tomago will invest at least USD 1.1 billion in the facility, including USD 100 million for decarbonisation and grid demand-response initiatives. The smelter will enter a 10-year PPA after its current electricity contract expires at the end of 2028, with nearly 3 GW of new energy supply planned and electricity to come from 100% renewable sources from 2033.

Alunorte is ramping alumina production back to full capacity after reaching a temporary terminal access agreement with gas supplier CELBA and receiving approval to become a self-importer of gas. The refinery had temporarily reduced production following disruptions to natural gas availability. Lost alumina output is estimated at 100,000-120,000 tonnes, while reduced production and higher gas purchasing costs could result in a USD 75-100 million financial impact on the Bauxite & Alumina business in Q3 2026.

Ardagh Holdings는 Ardagh Metal Packaging(AMP) 지분 일부 또는 전체 매각을 검토 중이며, 또는 대안으로 잔여 지분을 인수한 후 전체 회사를 제3자에 매각하는 방안도 고려하고 있다. 구체적인 일정은 아직 확정되지 않았다. AMP는 2025년에 약 55억 달러의 매출을 올렸으며, 9개국에 23개 공장을 운영하고 있다. 회사는 매각 이후 Ardagh Group의 공유 서비스를 이용할 수 없게 되면 연간 운영 비용이 약 3,000만 달러 증가할 것으로 추산한다.
