2026년 6월 중국 알루미늄 호일 수출, 전월 대비 9.7% 증가, 전년 동기 대비 23.8% 증가

International Aluminium Institute (IAI) data show that around 420 billion aluminum beverage cans enter the global market each year. While about 71% are recycled, the current can-to-can recycling rate is only around 33%. At this rate, repeated recycling through 2050 could generate about 207 billion recycled cans, while raising the closed-loop rate to 62% through better UBC sorting, remelting and logistics could increase this to around 685 billion cans. IAI estimates that only 47% of recycled cans currently return to new cans, compared with a potential 87% using existing technology, highlighting significant room to strengthen closed-loop recycling.

2023년 독일 건설 부문에서 약 13만 미터톤의 알루미늄 스크랩이 발생했으며, 이 중 AUF와 유럽 알루미늄 협회의 보고서에 따르면 AUF의 재활용 네트워크가 약 7만 5,000미터톤을 수거했다. 독일의 알루미늄 스크랩 재활용률은 100%에 가깝고, 건축 자재에서 나오는 스크랩의 약 70%는 국내에서 가공 및 재용해되어 주로 2차 압출 빌릿과 압연 잉곳으로 생산된다. 약 8만 3,700미터톤이 새로운 건축 자재로 재활용되어 건설 부문에서 알루미늄의 순환 체계를 지원했다.

Crown Holdings는 2025년 자사 음료 포장재의 평균 재활용 알루미늄 함량이 67%에 도달했으며, 총 알루미늄 조달량은 약 123만 미터톤이라고 발표했다. 동사는 2030년까지 알루미늄 음료 캔의 재활용 함량을 80%로 높이는 동시에, 연간 1차 알루미늄 조달량의 최소 10%를 저탄소 생산업체로부터 조달하겠다고 약속했다. 2025년 Crown의 글로벌 전력 믹스에서 재생 가능 전력이 차지하는 비중은 44%였으며, 스코프 1 및 2 배출량은 2019년 기준치 대비 약 30% 감소했다.
