[SMM Nickel Market Flash] Bahia Metals Flags 75-200 Mt Exploration Target at Brazil's Mangueiros Nickel Sulphide Project
CSE-listed Bahia Metals said a technical review of its 100%-owned Mangueiros Main nickel-copper-cobalt-PGM sulphide project in Bahia State, Brazil, supports an exploration target of 75-200 million tonnes at 0.20-0.25% sulphide nickel, per an SRK NI 43-101 report. The company stresses this is conceptual: no mineral resource has been defined and there is no certainty it will be. Mineralisation runs about 2 km along strike, up to 500 m wide and 300 m deep, starting at surface, supported by 86 holes for 12,786 m. Preliminary 2023 metallurgy showed sulphide nickel recoveries of 79.7-91.5%. Bahia, which listed in January 2026 raising C$5.75 million, is working toward a maiden resource estimate and possibly a PEA.
