알코아 코퍼레이션과 합작 파트너인 이그니스 에쿼티 홀딩스는 7월 14일, 4월의 전국적 정전으로 수개월간 지연되었던 스페인 산시프리안 알루미늄 제련소의 재가동을 재개한다고 확인했다. 이 정전으로 제련소와 연계된 정제소 모두가 영향을 받았고, 스페인 정부가 상세한 설명과 완화 계획을 내놓을 때까지 재가동 작업이 일시 중단되었다. 정부 보고서와 관계자와의 직접 면담 후 알코아는 전력망 복원력이 개선되고 경쟁력 있는 에너지 공급이 지원될 것이라는 확약을 받았다고 밝혔다. 알코아의 스페인 담당 부사장 롭 베어는 “정부 보고서를 검토하고 전력망 신뢰성 강화를 위한 투자 약속을 받았다”고 말했다. 알코아는 이제 이 제련소로 인해 2025년에 9천만~1억 1천만 달러의 순손실을 예상하고 있으며, 완전한 재가동은 2026년 중반까지 완료하는 것을 목표로 하고 있다.

[SMM 알루미늄 합금 플래시] 이번 주 중국 주조 알루미늄 합금 잉곳 사회 재고는 33,000톤으로 전주 대비 1,200톤 증가하며 4주 연속 재고 증가세를 이어갔다. 전년 동기 대비로는 38,400톤 감소한 수준으로, 53.8% 줄어들었다. 현재 성수기 초입 단계로 하류 기업들의 구매는 주로 강성 수요에 그치고 있으며, 수요 측면은 아직 완전히 회복되지 않았다. 일부 현물 트레이더들의 매입이 입고 물량을 일정 부분 보완했다. 단기적으로 사회 재고는 소폭 증가 추세를 이어갈 것으로 예상된다.
