Huomei Hongjun Achieves Breakthrough in Ground Insulation Fault Detection for Aluminum Electrolytic Cells, Wins Italian Patent

Huomei Hongjun Aluminum & Power Co., Ltd. recently achieved a significant breakthrough in the field of ground insulation fault detection for aluminum electrolytic cells. Its "Detection Method for Ground Insulation Fault of Aluminum Electrolytic Cell" was authorized by the Italian Patent and Trademark Office. This method detects the alternating current (AC) voltage component to ground for each electrolytic cell in the series of aluminum electrolytic cells and analyzes and calculates the variation patterns of their AC ground potential amplitudes and phases. When a sudden change occurs in the curve of the AC potential amplitude or phase, it can be determined that a ground fault exists. By calculating the modulus maxima of the derivative function of the variation curve, the location of the faulty cell can be accurately identified. This technology boasts notable advantages such as real-time monitoring and precise positioning, high accuracy and low misjudgment, and strong applicability. This innovative achievement fills a technological gap in the industry and provides strong support for the intelligent and efficient development of the aluminum industry.
