Zhangjiakou Nanshan Automotive Base Signs Deal with Sunway Battery for 3D Solid-State Battery Production Site

Recently, the official account of the Zhangjiakou Nanshan Automotive Industry Base announced the signing ceremony for the project of a production site for 3D solid-state specialty batteries with Sunway Battery Co., Ltd. The project will involve the construction of a fourth-generation intelligent battery factory, with a planned total investment of 1 billion yuan, covering a total area of 70 mu (approximately 46,667 m²), and a planned construction area of 102,000 m², to be implemented in two phases. Phase I will involve an investment of 600 million yuan, and Phase II will involve an investment of 400 million yuan, with reserved space for capacity expansion. Upon completion, it will add a production capacity of 1 GWh of 3D solid-state lithium batteries, achieving the goals of intelligent manufacturing, quality improvement, energy efficiency, emission reduction, green production, and clean production, filling the gap in high-energy-density battery capacity in the Beijing metropolitan area. After the project is completed, it is expected to add an annual output value of 1 billion yuan, an additional annual tax payment of 50 million yuan, and create 200 jobs.
