[SMM Rare Earth Morning Meeting Summary] Rare Earth Prices Increase Slightly, Downstream Purchases Mainly Based on Demand

Rare Earth Ores

Prices: The price of rare earth carbonate is approximately 33,400 yuan/mt, monazite is priced at around 39,700 yuan/mt, and the standard ore price of medium-yttrium, europium-rich ore is about 180,500 yuan/mt.

Supply and Demand: Currently, the overall prices of rare earth ores are relatively stable. Both upstream and downstream participants are adopting a wait-and-see attitude, and market purchasing activity is not robust.

Rare Earth Oxides

Prices: The quotation range for Pr-Nd oxide is approximately 412,000-414,000 yuan/mt. The mainstream quotation range for dysprosium oxide is 1.6-1.62 million yuan/mt, and the quotation for terbium oxide has been adjusted to around 6.82-6.86 million yuan/mt.

Supply and Demand: Yesterday, the trading volume in the rare earth oxide market was sluggish. However, influenced by news factors, the market sentiment was cautious, and suppliers reduced their enthusiasm for offering goods. Overall, rare earth oxide prices showed a slight upward trend.

Rare Earth Metals

Prices: The mainstream quotation range for Pr-Nd alloy is 504,000-508,000 yuan/mt. The quotation for dysprosium-iron alloy is approximately 1.57-1.59 million yuan/mt, and the quotation for terbium metal is around 8.4-8.45 million yuan/mt.

Supply and Demand: Metal manufacturers have slightly raised their quotations in line with the increase in oxide prices, tightening the supply of low-priced goods in the market. However, the order-taking situation of downstream magnetic material enterprises has not improved, and the market trading volume is average. Downstream enterprises mainly purchase as needed.

NdFeB Blanks

Prices: The price of NdFeB blank N38 (Ce) is reported at 135-145 yuan/kg; the price of NdFeB blank 40M is reported at 178-191 yuan/kg; the price of NdFeB blank 40H is reported at 185-195 yuan/kg; and the price of NdFeB blank 45SH (Ce) is reported at 235-255 yuan/kg.

Supply and Demand: Yesterday, the quotation in the magnetic material market was relatively stable. Due to the lack of improvement in end-use demand, market trading was average. Influenced by news factors, enterprises maintained a strong wait-and-see attitude.

NdFeB Scrap

Prices: The price of Pr-Nd recycled from NdFeB scrap is reported at 429-440 yuan/kg; the price of dysprosium recycled from NdFeB scrap is reported at 1,584-1,606 yuan/kg; and the price of terbium recycled from NdFeB scrap is reported at 5,115-5,335 yuan/kg.

Supply and Demand: Yesterday, the trading volume in the oxide market was average, and prices were relatively stable, leading to no significant changes in scrap prices.
