On April 29, the Wuhan Municipal Bureau of Economy and Information Technology issued the "Notice from the Municipal Bureau of Economy and Information Technology on Initiating the Application Process for the First Batch of Financial Support Funds for the Hydrogen Energy Industry in 2025."
The Notice states that applicants must be hydrogen energy enterprises registered in Wuhan and connected to the Wuhan Hydrogen Fuel Cell Vehicle Traceability Management Service Platform.
In terms of policy standards, following the principle of "post-event rewards and subsidies," within the timeframe specified in this notice, enterprises applying for rewards and subsidies in five categories—production and sales of core parts for hydrogen fuel cells, R&D and production of complete vehicles, construction and operation of hydrogen refueling stations, and application of hydrogen fuel cell vehicles (ships, forklifts)—will adhere to the standards stipulated in the "Management Measures."
Calculation method for reward points for the application of hydrogen fuel cell vehicles, ships, and forklifts, as well as the subsidy standards for hydrogen refueling station operations: For hydrogen refueling stations with a daily hydrogen refueling capacity of no less than 500 kg and a selling price of no more than 35 yuan/kg, a subsidy of 14 yuan/kg will be provided, with a maximum cap of 1.5 million yuan.
Rewards for the application of hydrogen fuel cell vehicles (ships, forklifts):
For vehicles registered between January 1, 2025, and April 30, 2025, an initial application can be made for 50% of the reward funds.
For vehicles that have completed a pure hydrogen driving mileage of 20,000 km between January 1, 2022, and April 30, 2025, a second application can be made for the remaining 50% of the reward funds.
Policy period for enjoying rewards (subsidies) for the production and sales of core parts for hydrogen fuel cells, R&D and production of complete vehicles, and the construction and operation of hydrogen refueling stations: January 1, 2024, to December 31, 2024.
