SMM, April 30:
Today, the SMM 1# lead average price dropped by 75 yuan/mt from yesterday to 16,700 yuan/mt, with the price difference between primary metal and scrap at 25 yuan/mt. On the last trading day before the holiday, market activity was low, with some downstream battery producers restocking modestly at lower prices. Secondary lead smelters offered limited quotes and basically did not issue spot orders. The mainstream ex-factory prices of secondary refined lead were at a discount of 25-0 yuan/mt against the SMM 1# lead average price. The ex-factory prices, excluding tax, ranged from 15,650 to 15,850 yuan/mt, with sluggish transactions.
