JAC Group, Huawei Digital Power deepen strategic partnership to boost NEV innovation

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On April 22, JAC Group and Huawei Digital Power signed a comprehensive agreement to deepen their strategic collaboration, expanding their long-standing partnership that began in 2019.

The two sides will focus on advancing joint efforts in several core areas, including the development and application of new energy vehicle (NEV) models and platform technologies, co-definition and co-development of intelligent electric-drive components, collaborative manufacturing and market expansion, construction and operation of NEV charging infrastructure, ultra-fast charging technologies for heavy-duty commercial vehicles, and the global expansion of NEVs. The aim is to co-create highly competitive products that deliver an exceptional user experience while building an integrated industry ecosystem to foster the development of the NEV sector.

According to the agreement, the partnership will be guided by a shared vision of delivering globally oriented leading NEV products and services. Leveraging their core technologies and resources, the companies will strengthen collaborative innovation mechanisms, co-develop forward-looking R&D platforms and iterative product systems, and optimize the allocation of industrial chain resources to bring to market cutting-edge products and solutions with strong competitive advantage.

In addition, the two parties will establish a regular technical exchange mechanism to explore integration opportunities in emerging technology fields, continuously enhance their technological edge and responsiveness to market needs, and help elevate industry standards—all aimed at delivering a premium experience to consumers.

At the AUTO SHANGHAI 2025, JAC Group and Huawei also debuted their first jointly developed model under the newly launched MAEXTRO brand—the MAEXTRO S800. Positioned as a flagship vehicle for the new era, the S800 is priced between 1 million yuan and 1.5 million yuan and is slated for delivery in the second quarter of this year.
