Despite the narrowing fluctuations in copper prices this week, downstream companies remained cautious in their purchase willingness, with most maintaining restocking based on demand, and the market sentiment was dominated by a wait-and-see approach. Brass billet companies reported limited new orders this week, with some reducing their operating rates in response to weak demand. SMM believes that current consumption has not shown significant recovery, coupled with the unclear trend in copper prices, the brass billet market may continue to operate in the doldrums in the short term.
