CAAM Reports 14.5% YoY Growth in Q1 Domestic Passenger Vehicle Sales

【CAAM: Q1 Passenger Vehicle Domestic Sales Up 14.5% YoY】

On April 15, the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM) released data showing that in Q1 of this year, passenger vehicle production and sales reached 6.513 million and 6.419 million units, up 16.1% and 12.9% YoY, respectively. Among them, domestic sales of passenger vehicles in Q1 were 5.241 million units, up 14.5% YoY, while passenger vehicle exports were 1.178 million units, up 6.1% YoY. From the perspective of segmented markets, compared with the same period last year, the production and sales of the four major categories of passenger vehicles—sedans, SUVs, MPVs, and crossover vehicles—all showed varying degrees of growth, with the production and sales of crossover vehicles experiencing more significant growth.
