AITO issued a statement today regarding the "Shenyang Industrial Exhibition Hall Incident," stating that preliminary investigations revealed the accident occurred on the eve of the auto show's dismantling. The vehicle was not in exhibition mode, leading to its accidental activation.
The official WeChat account of AITO's customer service department reported that on April 13, an AITO M7 Pro unit was involved in a collision at the Shenyang Industrial Exhibition Hall in Liaoning, resulting in one injury. The injured person was found to have minor bruises and was discharged the same day.
Preliminary investigations indicated that the accident happened on the eve of the auto show's dismantling, with the vehicle not in exhibition mode, causing it to be mistakenly activated. The driver was not wearing a seatbelt, and the steering wheel was intervened at a large angle, which did not meet the AEB triggering conditions.
AITO expressed deep apologies for the inconvenience caused by the incident to all parties involved. The company will continue to actively negotiate with the auto show organizers and other relevant parties to properly handle subsequent matters, and thanked users for their concern and supervision.
