The General Administration of Customs: China has resolutely taken countermeasures and will continue to jointly oppose the US's tariff bullying and hegemonic behavior with all parties. Wang Lingjun, Deputy Director of the General Administration of Customs, responded to the Sino-US trade tensions at a press conference. The so-called "reciprocal tariff" by the US has overturned the existing international economic and trade order, placing US interests above the public interest of the international community. This is a typical act of tariff bullying, severely violating the rules of the World Trade Organization, seriously damaging the rules-based multilateral trading system, and severely impacting the stability of the global economic order. There are no winners in a trade war, and protectionism has no way out. The actions of the US government have already caused widespread opposition globally. China has resolutely taken countermeasures and will continue to jointly oppose the US's tariff bullying and hegemonic behavior with all parties, jointly defending the multilateral trading system and economic globalization. We urge the US to immediately correct its wrong practices and resolve trade differences through equal dialogue based on the principle of mutual respect.
