Dee Zee Expands with Vertical Powder Coating Line at Broadway Campus

Dee Zee is a manufacturer of parts and accessories for the automotive market, adhering to the principles of continuous improvement, innovation, and technological focus. To expand its business scale, the company added a vertical powder coating line at its Broadway campus in Iowa. The production line was installed in February 2025 and is currently undergoing commissioning, with completion expected in April.

One of the main reasons for this expansion project was the change in the size of the products being manufactured. Dee Zee originally operated four horizontally suspended powder coating lines, but as the product sizes became longer, "our products span from one wheel hub to another," said Kelli Gallagher. Therefore, vertical powder coating provided an opportunity to maximize space utilization and increase capacity.
