【SMM Flash News】In the first half of the week, lead prices continued to decline. Secondary lead smelters, under the pressure of losses, simultaneously lowered the prices of scrap batteries. However, the decrease was not as significant as that of lead prices, and some companies maintained price protection, meaning they still settled at higher prices with recycling companies that actively shipped goods. Fearing further price drops, recyclers sold off their inventory, leading to a decline in stock. Due to the limited amount of scrap in the market, recycling companies also faced pressure in purchasing. Consequently, when lead prices rebounded in the latter half of the week, scrap battery prices actively followed the upward trend. There may still be room for scrap battery prices to rise next week.
