Changan Automobile, Tencent to deepen cooperation in intelligent driving, data infrastructure fields

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On the evening of April 10, Changan Automobile and Tencent held a signing ceremony in Chongqing to officially expand their collaboration in intelligent vehicle technologies.

The two companies first established a strategic partnership in 2017. Since then, they have made significant progress across a range of areas, including smart cockpits, autonomous driving, navigation and mapping, international ecosystem development, and enterprise digital transformation. In the field of intelligent driving, Tencent has provided Changan Automobile with comprehensive support—including computing power, data compliance solutions, and intelligent driving maps—helping accelerate the rollout of Changans 'self-developed smart driving capabilities.

This latest agreement aims to combine Changan Automobile's automotive expertise with Tencent's digital capabilities to further advance intelligent data infrastructure and establish a secure, closed-loop smart data system. According to the companies, the collaboration not only marks another concrete achievement under Changan Automobile's "Dubhe Plan 2.0" but also represents the industry's first example of joint data sharing and development at this scale.

Launched on February 9, 2025, the "Dubhe Plan 2.0" outlines Changan Automobile's strategy to upgrade four core areas: smart products, smart operations, smart manufacturing, and smart ecosystems. The plan focuses on developing AI-powered intelligent vehicles designed to anticipate and meet user needs.

In intelligent driving, Changan Automobile's "Changan Tops AD" smart driving system is built on its central ring network architecture (SDA Platform) and powered by a multimodal, end-to-end AI foundation model known as the "Changan Tops Model." This system integrates a highly redundant unified architecture, next-gen large-model algorithms, and a robust data feedback loop, helping Changan break through key technology bottlenecks.

Through this deepened partnership, Changan Automobile and Tencent will jointly establish a solid data infrastructure foundation to further enhance user vehicle safety.

Changan Automobile is continuing to expand its footprint in the smart mobility space, having already invested 114.8 billion yuan in the field and built a team of over 5,000 specialists in electronics, software, and AI.
