Zhou Haiyan, Deputy Director-General of the Electronic Information Department of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, stated at the 13th Energy Storage International Summit and Exhibition on the 10th that recently, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, in collaboration with the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC), the National Energy Administration, and six other departments, has issued and implemented the "High-Quality Development Action Plan for the New-Type Energy Storage Manufacturing Industry." In the next step, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology will thoroughly implement the decisions and deployments of the CPC Central Committee and the State Council, and work with relevant parties to advance the industry, focusing on five main areas: strengthening industry standardization management, accelerating technological innovation, promoting application expansion, solidifying the foundation of industrial security, and improving the industrial ecosystem. Zhou Haiyan stated that the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology will strengthen industry standardization management, deepen the implementation of lithium battery industry standardization policies, and guide the ESS battery industry to accelerate technological progress and transformation and upgrading in response to the development and application needs of new-type energy storage.
