Today, spot prices of #1 copper cathode against the front-month contract in North China ranged from a discount of 160 yuan/mt to 100 yuan/mt, with an average discount of 130 yuan/mt, up 20 yuan/mt from the previous trading day. Transaction prices were between 79,700 yuan/mt and 80,090 yuan/mt, with an average of 79,895 yuan/mt, up 40 yuan/mt from the previous trading day. Copper prices adjusted near the 80,000 yuan/mt mark, with mediocre downstream consumption and limited pre-holiday stockpiling demand. Trading activity was relatively mediocre, slightly underperforming compared to yesterday.
