Tanmiah Food Company, a prominent Middle Eastern provider of fresh poultry, processed proteins, animal feed, health products, and restaurant services, has entered a partnership with Emerge, a joint venture between Masdar and EDF Group. The agreement was finalized at the Saudi Arabian Ministry of Environment, Water, and Agriculture, with Tanmiah’s Group CEO, Zulfiqar Hamadani, and Emerge’s General Manager, Michel Abi Saab, signing the deal.
As part of the collaboration, Emerge will develop a 3 MWp solar plant at Tanmiah’s Haradh facility, supporting Saudi Arabia’s clean energy targets. Emerge will oversee financing, design, construction, and long-term maintenance over the next 25 years. The solar plant is expected to supply 35% of the facility's electricity demand and reduce CO₂ emissions by over 3,850 tons annually, which is equivalent to the power consumption of 800 households for a year.
