South Africa Initiates Anti-Dumping Investigation into Chinese Thin-Gauge Corrosion-Resistant Steel Coils

On March 20, 2025, the International Trade Administration Commission of South Africa (ITAC) announced that, based on applications submitted by AMSA and SAFAL, it would initiate an anti-dumping investigation into the import of thin-gauge corrosion-resistant steel coils from China. The products under investigation include flat-rolled products of iron or non-alloy steel with a width of 600 millimeters or more and a thickness of less than 0.45 millimeters, as well as flat-rolled products of other alloy steels with a width of 600 millimeters or more and a thickness of less than 0.45 millimeters. The investigation period spans from September 1, 2023, to August 31, 2024.
