On March 26, the quotation for high-carbon ferrochrome in Inner Mongolia was 7,700-7,900 yuan/mt (50% metal content), unchanged from the previous trading day. Today, a leading ferrochrome producer in Inner Mongolia issued a letter stating that the supply of chrome ore raw materials remains tight, and inventory has fallen below the safety line. If the current situation cannot be alleviated, production plans are expected to be temporarily adjusted starting from April 1. As the month-end steel tender approaches, ferrochrome producers are already facing cost-price inversion, and chrome ore prices remain strong and high.
