E-Bike Trade-Ins Surpass 2 Million Units in China Since Year Start

Since the beginning of this year, the trade-in of e-bikes has exceeded 2 million units.

According to Xinhua News Agency, as of March 18, China's e-bike trade-in program has seen the exchange of 2.044 million old units for new ones, driving new e-bike sales of 5.61 billion yuan.

From September to December 2024, China's e-bike trade-in program accumulated a total of 1.38 million units exchanged, with a daily average of 11,000 units. Since the beginning of 2025, the daily average of e-bike trade-ins has reached 27,000 units. Among these, 156,000 units were exchanged in January 2025, 863,000 units in February, and 1.025 million units from March 1 to 18.
