This week's recycling project developments are as follows:
[A 20,000 mt/year Scrap Battery Recycling Project in Longyan to Begin Trial Production] Recently, at the construction site of the GAC Zijin New Energy Battery Comprehensive Utilisation Project located in the Shanghang Industrial Park, Jiaoyang New Materials Industrial Park, Longyan City, the installation of equipment in the crushing workshop has entered its final stage. The total investment for this project is 1.16 billion yuan, with construction divided into two phases. Phase one will have a capacity to process 20,000 mt/year of end-of-life LFP batteries. The project adopts advanced technology for the comprehensive recycling and reuse of scrap lithium batteries, with main products including iron phosphate and lithium carbonate.
[50,000 mt/year LFP Cathode Material Project in Hubei Progressing Smoothly] Recently, the 50,000 mt/year LFP cathode material project by Hubei Ruipai New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. has been progressing smoothly. The first batch of equipment has arrived, marking a new phase in the project's construction and laying a solid foundation for its commissioning this year. The 50,000 mt/year LFP cathode material project, jointly funded by Dongfeng Hongtai Holding Group Co., Ltd. and Guangdong Jinsheng New Energy Co., Ltd., has a total investment of 2 billion yuan. It will include the comprehensive recycling and regeneration of scrap lithium batteries and lithium battery materials. The project is planned to be implemented in two phases, with the first phase constructing a 25,000 mt/year LFP cathode material production line.
[50,000 mt/year LFP Project in Qujing, Yunnan, to Start Production Soon] Currently, the equipment installation for the 50,000 mt/year LFP project by Yunnan Hongtai Bo New Materials Co., Ltd. in Luliang, Qujing, has entered the final sprint stage, with full completion and commissioning expected in May this year. The 50,000 mt/year LFP project is being constructed in the Taipingzhao area of the Luliang County Industrial Park, Qujing City, Yunnan Province. The total land area for the project is 200 mu, with a planned total investment of 1.25 billion yuan, divided into two phases. Phase one covers 80 mu of land with a planned investment of 500 million yuan; phase two covers 120 mu of land with a planned investment of 750 million yuan.
[96,000 mt/year Lithium Battery Waste Pole Piece Processing Project Lands in Yancheng, Jiangsu] Recently, the environmental impact assessment report for the 96,000 mt/year lithium battery waste pole piece processing project by Jiangsu Baishun Recycling Technology Co., Ltd. was accepted for review. The registered capital of Jiangsu Baishun Recycling Technology Co., Ltd. is 10.08 million yuan. The project is located in the Dongfang Industrial Park, Huangshagang Town, Sheyang County, Yancheng City, with an investment of 110 million yuan. Using waste pole pieces as raw materials, the treatment process mainly involves shredding, crushing, kneading, and sieving, with products including copper powder, graphite (negative pole piece powder), aluminum powder, and LFP powder (positive pole piece powder). The workshop is equipped with six positive pole piece and six negative pole piece recycling lines.
[50,000 mt/year Retired Power Battery Recycling Project Lands in Anhui] This project has a building area of approximately 52,000 m²; it includes the purchase of automated crushing and sorting machines, MVR evaporation crystallization devices, and other intelligent equipment. After completion, the project will achieve an annual processing capacity of 50,000 mt of retired lithium batteries.
[3 Billion Yuan Battery Recycling Project in Jilin Expected to Be Signed] The proposed total investment for this project is 2 billion yuan, covering an area of 300,000 m². The project will be constructed in three phases: phase one, with an investment of 1 billion yuan and covering 100,000 m², will build a 5GWh battery ESS factory; phases two and three, with an investment of 1 billion yuan and covering 200,000 m², will construct a battery recycling and regeneration factory. Upon full completion, the project is expected to generate 3 billion yuan in output value.
[20,000 mt/year Lithium Battery Recycling Project in Ganzhou Nearing Completion] Recently, the Quannan County Government website in Ganzhou, Jiangxi Province, announced the completion and acceptance of the 20,000 mt/year retired lithium battery comprehensive utilisation project by Huachong (Ganzhou) New Energy Co., Ltd. The total investment for the project is 128.11 million yuan, and the construction content includes four new scrap lithium battery processing lines and their supporting facilities.
[40,000 mt/year Scrap Lithium Battery Comprehensive Utilisation Project Lands in Gansu] Recently, the Gulang County Natural Resources Bureau in Wuwei City, Gansu Province, officially released the pre-approval public notice for the "Gansu Chenyue Yuchen New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. 40,000 mt/year Scrap Lithium Battery Comprehensive Utilisation and Zero-Carbon Resource Regeneration Industrial Park Project." The project is located in the Tulmen area of the Gulang County Industrial Concentration Zone, with a planned total building area of 31,587.57 m².
[Pengrui Resource Comprehensive Utilisation Expansion Project in Guangdong] Guangdong Pengrui Environmental Resources Co., Ltd. plans to invest 500 million yuan in a resource comprehensive utilisation expansion project, to be built on the existing plant site. The total land area of the plant is 205,671 m². The current hazardous waste treatment capacity of the plant is 388,550 mt/year, general solid waste treatment capacity is 20,000 mt/year, and the collection, temporary storage, and transfer of hazardous waste is 37,000 mt/year. Additionally, the plant refines 29,988.62 mt/year of copper and 4,405 mt/year of tin dioxide.
[10,000 mt/year Lithium Battery Recycling Project Lands in Zhejiang] Recently, the Suichang County Government in Lishui City, Zhejiang Province, officially released the environmental impact assessment information for the "Weifu Technology (Lishui) Co., Ltd. NEV Battery Precursor Material Production and Recycling Project," marking the project's entry into the public supervision and evaluation stage. The total planned investment for the project is 120 million yuan. After completion, the project is expected to have an annual capacity to recycle and process 10,000 mt of scrap lithium batteries, 5,000 mt of black mass, and produce 13,830 mt of electronic-specific materials.
