The First Offshore PV Power Station Project in High Wind Speed Sea Area in China Enters Final Stage

Recently, the first offshore PV power station project in high wind speed sea area in China, the Fujian Dongshan Xingchen 180-megawatt (MW) Offshore PV Power Station Project, undertaken by Hydropower No. 12 Bureau, has entered the final stage, marking significant progress in project construction and laying a solid foundation for achieving full-capacity grid connection and power generation.

The Dongshan Xingchen Offshore PV Power Station Project is located in the sea areas of Xingchen Town and Qianlou Town, Dongshan County, Fujian Province. It is the first offshore PV power station project in high wind speed sea areas in China and the first offshore PV project in Fujian Province. Covering a sea area of 3,048 mu, the project has a total installed capacity of 180 megawatts. The construction of the project will not only provide clean and renewable energy support for Fujian Province but also offer valuable experience and serve as a demonstration for offshore PV projects nationwide.
