[Domestic Iron Ore Brief Review] Iron Ore Concentrate Prices in the Tangshan Region May Fluctuate Downward

At the beginning of the week, the Tangshan iron ore concentrates market was affected by the reduction in tender prices by local leading steel mills. The delivery-to-factory price of local 66-grade iron ore concentrates (dry basis, tax-included) was reduced by 10 yuan, with quotations at 960-970 yuan/mt. Iron ore concentrate prices saw a slight decline, and iron ore futures fluctuated downward. Most producers were cautious in their operations, and overall market activity remained weak. According to SMM, a safety accident occurred at a gold mine in Chengde, Hebei, leading to intensified safety inspections of local non-coal mines, which affected production at some mines and beneficiation plants. Overall, iron ore concentrate resources remained tight. Local steel mills continued to show a strong desire to bargain down prices, coupled with the downward trend in iron ore futures.
