The SMM battery-grade lithium carbonate index price was 74,864 yuan/mt, up 89 yuan/mt from the previous working day. Battery-grade lithium carbonate was quoted at 73,900-75,800 yuan/mt, with an average price of 74,850 yuan/mt, up 100 yuan/mt from the previous working day. Industrial-grade lithium carbonate was quoted at 72,400-73,400 yuan/mt, with an average price of 72,900 yuan/mt, up 100 yuan/mt from the previous working day. The transaction price center of spot lithium carbonate moved slightly upward. Currently, downstream purchase willingness remains relatively weak, with transactions mainly driven by restocking for rigid demand from some material plants. Upstream lithium chemical plants maintain a sentiment to stand firm on quotes. However, as domestic lithium carbonate production and overseas imports both show certain increases, the significant surplus in lithium carbonate persists. It is expected that spot lithium carbonate prices may have some downside room, accompanied by sideways movement.
