[SMM Daily Review: High-Carbon Ferrochrome Retail Supply Remains Tight, Prices Stay Stable] On March 11, the quotation for high-carbon ferrochrome in Inner Mongolia was 7,600-7,700 yuan/mt (50% metal content), unchanged from the previous trading day...

On March 11, the quoted price for high-carbon ferrochrome in Inner Mongolia was 7,600-7,700 yuan/mt (50% metal content), unchanged from the previous trading day. With the retail price of ferrochrome still yielding a slight profit and the recent demand for procurement and restocking, the rigid procurement support for chrome ore has kept its price firm. Currently, the retail price of ferrochrome and the steel tender price have formed a state of irreversible separation. The operating rate of ferrochrome producers remains low, and the supply of retail ferrochrome in the market is still tight. Supported by chrome ore costs, ferrochrome prices are expected to remain firm in the short term.
