[SMM Daily Review: March 11 Spot Lithium Carbonate Prices Decline]
The SMM battery-grade lithium carbonate index price was 74,855 yuan/mt, down 154 yuan/mt from the previous trading day. Battery-grade lithium carbonate was priced at 73,900-75,900 yuan/mt, with an average price of 74,900 yuan/mt, down 150 yuan/mt from the previous trading day. Industrial-grade lithium carbonate was priced at 72,450-73,450 yuan/mt, with an average price of 72,950 yuan/mt, down 150 yuan/mt from the previous trading day. The transaction price center of spot lithium carbonate has shifted downward. Currently, downstream material plants are primarily restocking based on immediate needs, with little intention to stockpile, resulting in relatively sluggish market transactions. Considering the domestic lithium carbonate production level remains high and the import situation of overseas lithium carbonate, the significant surplus in the domestic lithium carbonate market is unlikely to reverse, and spot lithium carbonate prices are expected to have further downside room.
