Weekly Steel Shipment Volume Declines Nationwide

The total steel shipment volume from ports nationwide, according to SMM, was 670.9 mt, down 202,300 mt WoW, a decrease of 3%. Among them, the total shipment volume from the six major northern ports (Jingtang Port, Caofeidian Port, Bayuquan Port, Tianjin New Port, Huanghua Port, and Jinzhou Port) was 2.8519 million mt, down 314,500 mt WoW, accounting for 43% of the total shipment volume. The total shipment volume from the three major ports in east China (Shanghai Port, Zhangjiagang Port, and Lanbei Port) was 58.23 mt, down 140,500 mt WoW, accounting for 9% of the total shipment volume. The total shipment volume from the two major ports in south China (Zhanjiang Port and Fangchenggang) was 421,400 mt, down 65,200 mt WoW, accounting for 6% of the total shipment volume.
