SMM Database Indicator Position Change Announcement [SMM Announcement]

Dear Users,

Greetings!

To enhance user experience and improve the efficiency of the SMM database, we have optimized the categorization of certain data under the "Base Metal - Aluminum - Alumina" section. The adjustments are as follows:

1. The "Alumina - Production" category has been renamed "Alumina - Capacity and Production."

2. The following data categories have been consolidated under "Alumina - Inventory":
   • "Alumina - SHFE Inventory"
   • "Alumina - Aluminum Smelter Alumina Inventory"
   • "Alumina - Port Alumina Inventory"
   • "Alumina - China Alumina Enterprises In-Plant Inventory"

3. A new category, "Alumina - Cost and Profit," has been created, incorporating the following data categories:
   • "Alumina - Alumina Daily Cost Model"
   • "Alumina - Shanxi Alumina Daily Profit Model (Domestic Ore Capacity)"
   • "Alumina - Shanxi Alumina Daily Profit Model (Imported Ore Capacity)"
   • "Alumina - Alumina Daily Profit Model"
   • "Alumina - Henan Alumina Daily Profit Model (Domestic Ore Capacity)"
   • "Alumina - Henan Alumina Daily Profit Model (Imported Ore Capacity)"

4. The "Alumina - China Alumina Situation By Province – Alumina By Province" category has been removed. The "Alumina - China Alumina Situation By Province" category has been migrated to "Alumina - Capacity and Production." Additionally:
   • The original "Alumina - China Alumina Situation By Province - Alumina By Province – Alumina By Province Existing Capacity" and "Alumina - China Alumina Situation By Province - Alumina By Province – Alumina By Province Operating Rate" have been moved to "Alumina - Capacity and Production - China Alumina Situation By Province."

5. The original "Alumina - China Alumina Situation By Province - China Alumina Monthly Total Operating Rate" has been migrated to "Alumina - Capacity and Production - SMM China Alumina Monthly Production."

6. A new category, "Alumina - Capacity and Production - China Alumina Situation By Province – Alumina Monthly Production By Province," has been created. Data from the original "Alumina - Production - SMM China Alumina Monthly Production" category, including Hebei, Guangxi, Guizhou, Henan, Inner Mongolia, Shandong, Shanxi, Yunnan, and Chongqing, have been migrated here.

7. A new category, "Alumina - Capacity and Production - China Alumina Situation By Province - Weekly Provincial Production of Alumina," has been introduced. All data from the original "Alumina - Production - SMM China Weekly Alumina Production" category, except "SMM China Weekly Alumina Production: Total," have been moved to this category.

8. The "Alumina - Weekly Alumina Operating Rate" has been renamed "Alumina - Capacity and Production - China Alumina Situation By Province - Weekly Provincial Operating Rate of Alumina" and migrated to the "Alumina - Capacity and Production - China Alumina Situation By Province" category.

These adjustments will take effect on March 21, 2025. You can access the updated data under the respective categories after the changes.
