AESC Cangzhou Battery Gigafactory Phase II, 20GWh Project, Kicks Off Construction

[AESC Cangzhou Battery Gigafactory Phase II 20GWh Project Commences Construction]

On February 28, 2025, the Phase II project of AESC Cangzhou Battery Gigafactory commenced construction in Cangzhou, Hebei. It is expected to have an annual capacity of 20GWh, covering key segments of the battery industry chain, including electrodes, battery cells, modules, and battery packs. The factory will produce high-grade power and ESS battery products to meet global customer demands and is expected to start production in 2026. Previously, the Phase I project with a capacity of 10GWh was successfully put into operation, with the first batch of products delivered to overseas customers, achieving "mass production for export." Once both Phase I and Phase II projects reach full production, the AESC Cangzhou Battery Gigafactory will become the largest lithium battery industry base in northern China.
