SMM battery-grade lithium carbonate index price was 74,787 yuan/mt, down 122 yuan/mt from the previous working day. Battery-grade lithium carbonate was at 73,800-75,900 yuan/mt, with an average price of 74,850 yuan/mt, down 100 yuan/mt from the previous working day. Industrial-grade lithium carbonate was at 72,400-73,400 yuan/mt, with an average price of 72,900 yuan/mt, down 100 yuan/mt from the previous working day. The transaction price center of spot lithium carbonate continued to move downward. From the current supply and demand perspective of lithium carbonate, both supply and demand are increasing, but the supply side is growing more significantly, leading to a continued surplus in lithium carbonate. Downstream material plants remain mostly in a wait-and-see mode, with limited purchases, and market transactions have slightly weakened. Spot lithium carbonate prices are expected to have some downside room, accompanied by sideways movement.
