At the 2025 Two Sessions, Yuqun Zeng, a member of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and Chairman of CATL, submitted proposals focusing on enhancing the level of market-oriented application of new-type ESS. He suggested improving the market participation mechanism for new-type ESS by addressing electricity pricing mechanisms, cost pass-through mechanisms, and capacity compensation mechanisms, to promote the high-quality development of new energy in China.
