Henan Suspends Residential Rooftop PV Development and Construction

On March 3, Zhenping County in Henan Province issued an announcement regarding the suspension of residential rooftop PV development and construction.

The announcement revealed that PV development enterprises in Zhenping have been involved in false reporting, unfair competition, and defrauding the public, leading to a chaotic PV market. To ensure orderly management and maintain market order, as well as to protect the legitimate rights and interests of the public, the Zhenping County Development and Reform Commission has held discussions with brand representatives (investors) such as Skyworth, TCL, and Haier. A new management plan for development and construction will be formulated in the near future. Therefore, the registration and related work for residential rooftop PV projects have been suspended.
