[US Imposes Anti-Dumping and Countervailing Duties on Korean Aluminum Cables Involving China]
The US Department of Commerce recently announced the imposition of anti-dumping duties (52.79%) and countervailing duties (33.44%) on aluminum wire and cable products exported from Korea after processing Chinese raw materials. The measures primarily target Busan Cable Engineering Co., Ltd., which is owned by Chinese capital. Another Korean company, Daehan Cable Co., proved to the US authorities that it did not use Chinese raw materials and was granted an exemption.
