SMM February 27 News: Dealers in Hunan reported that post-holiday consumption in the automotive lead-acid battery market was weaker than in previous years. While lead prices fluctuated at high levels, the selling prices of some brands increased slightly, but wholesale prices in the battery market struggled to catch up. Currently, sales are primarily focused on digesting inventory, with the wholesale price of the main model 6-QW-45Ah at 160-180 yuan per unit.

Manufacturers in Jiangxi reported that overall demand in the automotive lead-acid battery market remained weak, and export orders were limited. At present, factories produce based on sales, with an operating rate of approximately 70%, and raw material lead is purchased as needed.

Manufacturers in Hebei reported that replacement demand in the automotive lead-acid battery market was moderate, while orders for vehicle assembly were also moderate. Currently, factory operating rates are at 80-90%. Additionally, lead prices have remained stable recently, and raw material procurement is primarily based on long-term contracts.
