Weekly Review of Lead Concentrate Market (February 15-21, 2025) [SMM Weekly Review on Lead Concentrates]
In mid-to-late February, lead concentrate market quotations showed no significant changes, with domestic mainstream pb50 TC quotations remaining at 500-800 yuan/mt (metal content). Smelters were not optimistic about the supply of silver-bearing lead ore in 2025, and some mining companies reported a slight increase in precious metal pricing within lead concentrate bid prices. For imported ores, according to SMM, the 2025 pb60 long-term contract TC quotations from smelters declined compared to the same period in 2024. A trader mentioned that there were no US dollar quotations available, and a small amount of imported spot ore was priced in yuan with deductions. This week, SMM pb60 TC quotations remained at -30 to -10 $/dmt.
