[SMM Daily Review: February 14 Spot Lithium Carbonate Prices Continue to Decline]

SMM battery-grade lithium carbonate index price was 76,225 yuan/mt, down 165 yuan/mt from the previous trading day; battery-grade lithium carbonate was at 75,300-77,200 yuan/mt, with an average price of 76,250 yuan/mt, down 200 yuan/mt from the previous trading day; industrial-grade lithium carbonate was at 72,900-73,900 yuan/mt, with an average price of 73,400 yuan/mt, down 50 yuan/mt from the previous trading day. The price center of spot lithium carbonate continued to move downward. Based on current market transactions, some downstream material plants are mainly restocking on a just-needed basis, with overall purchase willingness remaining weak and a cautious wait-and-see attitude prevailing. Considering the expected increase in domestic lithium carbonate production and overseas import volumes, it is anticipated that the domestic lithium carbonate market will remain in surplus in February, with spot lithium carbonate prices continuing to decline, accompanied by sideways movement.
