February 12, 2025: Today's warehouse warrant prices were $58-72/mt, QP February, with the average price unchanged from the previous trading day; B/L prices were $56-70/mt, QP March, with the average price up by $2/mt from the previous trading day; EQ copper (CIF B/L) was $4-18/mt, QP March, with the average price unchanged from the previous trading day, with quotations referencing cargo arrivals in late February and early March.
During the day, the SHFE/LME price ratio for the SHFE copper 2503 contract was around -450 yuan/mt, LME copper 3M-Mar was at C$69.15/mt, and the February-March spread was around C$40/mt. Offers for mid-February cargoes were scarce in the market today, while late-February pyro B/L prices remained firm. Buyers' inquiries mostly shifted to early March, with significant price differences between brands.
Currently, the actual transaction price for pyro high-quality copper warehouse warrants is $72/mt, mainstream pyro is $65/mt, and wet-process is $58/mt; high-quality copper B/L is $70/mt, mainstream pyro is around $63/mt, and wet-process is $56/mt; CIF B/L EQ copper is $4-18/mt, with an average price of $11/mt.
