The SMM battery-grade lithium carbonate index price was 76,550 yuan/mt, down 478 yuan/mt from the previous working day. Battery-grade lithium carbonate was priced at 75,800-77,500 yuan/mt, with an average price of 76,650 yuan/mt, down 500 yuan/mt from the previous working day. Industrial-grade lithium carbonate was priced at 73,100-74,100 yuan/mt, with an average price of 73,600 yuan/mt, down 400 yuan/mt from the previous working day. The price center of spot lithium carbonate continued to decline. Based on current market transactions, downstream material plants showed weak purchase willingness due to sufficient pre-holiday stockpiling and mostly adopted a cautious wait-and-see attitude, with some transactions occurring among traders. Considering the expected increase in domestic lithium carbonate production and overseas import volumes, the domestic lithium carbonate market is anticipated to remain in a surplus state in February. Spot lithium carbonate prices are expected to drop slightly, accompanied by sideways movement.
