BAIC BluePark unveils development details of STELATO's REEV model

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- Recently, BAIC BluePark New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. ("BAIC BluePark"), the parent company of BAIC BJEV, revealed on an investor interaction platform that amid fierce market competition, it is steadily increasing its investment in the intelligent electric vehicle sector.

The company added it is deepening strategic partnerships with key players such as Huawei to boost technological innovation and product competitiveness, ensuring rapid product iterations.

BAIC BluePark also emphasized its commitment to flexibly adjusting product plans based on evolving user and market demands to expedite market launches. Currently, an REEV (range-extended electric vehicle) model under STELATO, the high-end new energy vehicle brand jointly developed with Huawei, is under orderly development. The STELATO brand put its first model—the smart flagship sedan STELATO S9—onto the market on August 6, 2024. The sedan is offered in two versions: the MAX, priced at 399,800 yuan, and the Ultra, at 449,800 yuan. Within 20 days of its launch, fixed orders have reached 8,000 units.

On the smart technology front, the STELATO S9 debuts the HUAWEI ADS 3.0 advanced intelligent driving system and is equipped across the range with a 192-beam LiDAR system. This setup supports autonomous navigation in complex scenarios such as roundabouts and toll stations and provides automated driving assistance from parking space to parking space.

Underpinning the vehicle's performance is the new HUAWEI DriveONE 800V high-voltage silicon carbide platform, which enables the model's four-wheel drive version to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.9 seconds. Additionally, the car offers a CLTC range of up to 816 kilometers with an energy consumption of only 13.2 kWh per 100 kilometers. With the support of the 800V high-voltage fast-charging platform, a 5-minute charge can add up to 200 kilometers of range.
