SMM, February 7: According to SMM data, as of February 7, the national social inventory of silicon metal totaled 543,000 mt, an increase of 3,000 mt compared to before the Chinese New Year. Among them, the inventory in general social warehouses was 150,000 mt, a decrease of 1,000 mt compared to before the holiday, while the inventory in social delivery warehouses was 393,000 mt (including unregistered warehouse warrants and spot cargo), an increase of 4,000 mt compared to before the holiday. During the Chinese New Year, the silicon metal market was essentially in a holiday shutdown. After the holiday, the market gradually warmed up, but logistics and transportation had not fully recovered, resulting in sluggish inflows and outflows from warehouses. Some warehouses mainly received small volumes of goods, leading to a slight increase in inventory. The social inventory of silicon metal showed a normal accumulation compared to before the Chinese New Year.
