It is reported that the installed power generation capacity in Jiangsu Province has exceeded 200 million kW, reaching 204.093 million kW, up 14.1% YoY. The increasingly abundant power resources have strongly supported the high-quality development of the local economy and society. The power generation capacity in Jiangsu mainly consists of thermal power, new energy power generation, nuclear power, and others.
Among them, hydropower accounts for 3.101 million kW, representing 1.5% of the province's total installed capacity. Thermal power (coal-fired 81.561 million kW, gas-fired 21.499 million kW) totals 109.522 million kW, accounting for 53.66% of the province's total installed capacity, a decrease of 17.7 percentage points compared to the end of the 13th Five-Year Plan period. Nuclear power stands at 6.608 million kW, representing 3.2% of the province's total installed capacity. Wind and solar power new energy totals 84.862 million kW, accounting for 41.6% of the province's total installed capacity, an increase of 18.7 percentage points compared to the end of the 13th Five-Year Plan period.
