Hesai Technology to supply ATX LiDAR for multiple Chery vehicle models

Beijing (Gasgoo)- On January 21, LiDAR manufacturer Hesai Technology announced a production agreement with Chery Automobile for several upcoming vehicle models. These models, set to enter mass production in the second half of 2025, will feature Hesai's latest compact, ultra-high-definition, long-range LiDAR, the ATX.  

In 2025, Chery plans to launch over ten mass-produced models equipped with advanced NOA (Navigation on Autopilot) capabilities, marking a significant milestone for its smart vehicles. These models will support both HD map-free urban NOA and flagship highway NOA. Hesai's LiDAR technology will be integrated into the Chery brand's lineup for the first time, enabling scalable NOA deployment and advancing safety and intelligent driving.

As of December 2024, Hesai had secured production agreements for more than 100 vehicle models across 21 automakers. In 2021, Hesai secured its first mass-production project for a vehicle model's advanced intelligent driving system. Since then, the company's products have helped automakers to implement urban NOA, highway NOA, automated parking, and active safety features at scale.
