China's Steel Shipment Volume Declined by 14% MoM Last Week

The total steel shipment volume from ports nationwide, according to SMM, was 618.54 mt, down 1.0414 million mt MoM, a decrease of 14%. Among them, the total shipment volume from six major northern ports (Jingtang Port, Caofeidian Port, Bayuquan Port, Tianjin Xingang Port, Huanghua Port, and Jinzhou Port) was 2.3415 million mt, down 446,500 mt MoM, accounting for 38% of the total shipment volume. The total shipment volume from three major ports in east China (Shanghai Port, Zhangjiagang Port, and Lanbei Port) was 40.84 mt, down 104,300 mt MoM, accounting for 7% of the total shipment volume. The total shipment volume from two major ports in south China (Zhanjiang Port and Fangchenggang) was 386,200 mt, down 210,400 mt MoM, accounting for 6% of the total shipment volume.
