The 10 million mt/year vanadium-titanium magnetite mining and beneficiation expansion project of Chongqing Iron & Steel Group Mining Company Xichang Mining has entered the critical sprint stage.

As a key iron ore project under the national "Cornerstone Plan," the Chongqing Iron & Steel Group Mining Company's Xichang Mining 10 million mt/year vanadium-titanium magnetite mining and beneficiation expansion project has entered the critical sprint stage after years of construction. According to reports, the Xichang Mining 10 million mt/year vanadium-titanium magnetite mining and beneficiation expansion project is based on the original capacity of 3 million mt/year, expanding the raw ore processing capacity to 10 million mt/year. The product scale includes an annual output of 3.6 million mt of iron ore concentrates, 400,000 mt of titanium concentrates, and 65,000 mt of sulfur concentrates. The project's total estimated investment exceeds 5 billion yuan, with major construction components including infrastructure stripping, beneficiation capacity expansion and transformation, tailings transportation systems, supporting Xiaomalv tailings pond and Xiaomalv waste dump, and general layout engineering projects.
