[BYD ESS Team Completes Delivery of 1,200MWh ESS Battery Cabin for Jingneng Daihai]
SMM learned that during a survey activity on January 7, BYD stated that on January 2, 2025, the BYD ESS team officially completed the delivery of the 1,200MWh ESS battery cabin for Jingneng Daihai. The latest Daihai ESS power station project successfully achieved grid connection, becoming the largest single-unit "integrated wind, solar, thermal, storage, and hydrogen" ESS power station in the country. According to reports, the entire Daihai ESS power station adopted 192 sets of ESS battery cabins provided by BYD ESS, with a total capacity of 300MW/1,200MWh. As part of the second batch of national large-scale wind power and ESS base projects focusing on desert, Gobi, and arid regions, BYD ESS tailored an energy storage solution for the desert-Gobi-arid scenarios of this project, precisely addressing the challenges of energy storage in extreme environments.
