In 2024, excavator sales, a "barometer" of the construction machinery industry, ended three consecutive years of decline: the domestic market saw a rebound in growth, while overseas sales remained above 100,000 units for three consecutive years.

According to the China Construction Machinery Association, in 2024, major domestic excavator manufacturers sold a total of 201,131 units, up 3.13% YoY; among them, domestic sales reached 100,543 units, up 11.7% YoY, while exports totaled 100,588 units, down 4.24% YoY.
