SMM, January 8: Today, the SMM 1# lead average price increased by 25 yuan/mt from the previous day to 16,725 yuan/mt. Secondary lead was quoted at premiums of 0-100 yuan/mt against the SMM 1# lead average price on an ex-factory basis, with quotations in Jiangxi at a premium of 50 yuan/mt, Hunan at parity, Guangdong at 30-50 yuan/mt, Anhui at 100 yuan/mt, and Zhejiang at 25 yuan/mt. The ex-factory prices of refined lead excluding tax were reported at 15,900-16,050 yuan/mt. As the Chinese New Year holiday approaches, downstream enterprises have a customary need for stockpiling. However, due to their cautious sentiment, refined lead transactions were moderate.
